Superior Tank engineers, fabricates and builds welded steel storage tanks for the oil, water and agriculture industries. Available throughout California, Arizona and Nevada, our welded tanks are fabricated directly on the jobsite from raw materials. Our welded steel tank customers appreciate the robustness of our welded storage tanks and are willing to wait the extra time required. We fabricate and build welded steel tanks ranging in capacities from 50,000 gallons / 1,100 bbls to 2,500,000 gallons / 60,000 bbls and all of our welded tanks are specifically sized to the project needs. To accommodate our customer’s needs, our welded tanks can include internal or external piping and can be either open or closed top.

Our welded tanks comply with various of industry standards including AWWA D-100 and NFPA-22 and are well suited for storage of potable water, wastewater, irrigation water and water for fire protection. For applications involving storage of crude oil, petrochemicals and liquid fertilizer our welded tanks can be engineered to API 12D or API 650 standards.
THE ART OF WELDED TANK CONSTRUCTION
Our welded storage tanks are crafted in the field from heavy gauge steel using time tested fabrication methods. Specialized Project Superintendents practice the art of welded tank construction to ensure the correct material is ordered, delivered and shaped to the proper contours. Certified, skilled welders then fuse the mammoth sheets of steel together resulting in the extremely stout tanks. We utilize specialized equipment such as Automatic Girth Welders and Automatic Vert Buggies to ensure consistent welds and to reduce construction time. Our coating team members are experts in tank coatings and know how to achieve the best application. After fabrication, our welded tanks are prepared for the liquid coating. We take great care to prepare the steel to ensure proper coating adhesion and longevity. Directly after surface preparation, the liquid coating is sprayed onto the steel and allowed to air dry and cure. We offer various field applied liquid coatings specifically designed for the designated purpose and can accommodate even the most rigorous coating specifications. For municipal water applications, we use NSF Certified epoxy interior coatings. Alternatively, we offer interior coatings created for corrosive liquids such as crude oil, biofuels and brine water.
