Our bolted steel tanks can be used for a variety of applications including potable water storage, water storage for fire protection, wastewater storage and crude oil storage and meet a number of industry standards including American Water Works Association (AWWA) D103, National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA), FM Approvals and American Petroleum Institute (API) 12B. Superior Tank is one of the few manufacturers certified to provide bolted tanks for oil storage with the notable API 12B Monogram.

To provide superior corrosion protection and longevity for water and oil storage, we offer both powder coated and hot dipped galvanized bolted steel tanks. For select food and beverage storage applications, we also offer stainless steel tanks which provide outstanding durability and do not require a coating. Chimed: Our chimed bolted steel tanks are designed to meet both the API 12B specification and AWWA D103-09 standard and have earned NSF 61/372 Certification. Chimed bolted tanks can be used for a wide variety of applications including oil storage, drinking water storage, industrial water storage, storage of water for fire protection, wastewater storage and dry material storage. Chimed steel tanks feature a perpendicular “chime” at the top and bottom edges of the tank staves helping the tank to achieve the needed wind load rating by increasing stiffness. Chimed tanks are the only design allowed under the API 12B standard and API 12B Monogram certification.
Flat Panel: Our flat panel bolted steel tanks work well for potable water storage, wastewater storage, storage of water for fire protection, industrial water storage as well as dry bulk storage. Our flat panel tanks comply with the AWWA D103-09 standard and have also have earned NSF 61/372 Certification. Unlike other flat panel designs on the market, our steel staves maintain their thickness throughout the entire panel and are not thinner at the edges.
